“Amidst COVID pandemic, the Country is about to celebrate its biggest festival Diwali with all big fan fare. Preparations starts months before in every Indian household and now shopping for the festive products has began across the country as shoppers are thronging in commercial markets not only in metro cities but even in towns and rural areas of different states of the Country . The shopkeepers are happy and hopeful as the footfall in the markets has increased tremendously in the past couple of days and the business is expect to come out from the trade exile of 8 months. Internationally acclaimed and country’s leading vastu expert Dr. Khushdeep Bansal and country’s leading astrologer of Ujjain. Acharya Durgesh Taare have also said that from Diwali the planetary movement will change and our country’s retail trade will witness positive change.”

“Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) National President B C Bhartia & Secretary general Praveen Khandelwal said that Diwali which is on the 14th of November is surrounded by other important hindu festival like Dhanteras on 13th November, Govardhan pooja on the 15th of November, Bhaiya Dujj on 16th November, Chatth pooja on the 20th November and Tulsi holy nuptial on 26th November. The demand for festive products like toys, dry fruits, gift articles, readymade clothing, cosmetics, mobiles and electronics and home decor, FMCG goods, daily use items, furniture, home furnishing, tapestry, sweets, Kitchen Appliances, Kitchen articles, utensils and crockery items etc along with chocolate and other gift packs , fruit baskets, Diwali pooja items, dhoop batti, and scented stikes have seen quite increased business in the past few days. Like wise, traders of Gold, Jewellery, Utensils, Kitchen Appliances and Accessories are hopeful of doing good business on Dhanteras.”

Bhartia & Khandelwal said that this year on CAITs call the whole nation has very strongly opposed chinese goods. The important thing is neither the traders are selling Chinese goods nor the consumers are buying it. The theory that Chinese goods are cheaper and hence will remain in demand come what may has been greatly devastated by following the call of CAIT for boycott Chinese products both by the traders and people of India. They further added that the public sentiments is against China and this will increase and will exist for the time to come giving ample opportunity for local manufacturers & traders to scale up production & sake of quality goods. The Diwali festive sale is expected to be around 60 thousand crores of rupees and this will bring a big blow to China in past years as it was sharing a festive business of about 40 thousand crore of rupees business which has been overturned by Indian products and no festive orders were given to China this year leveraging the call of Hindustani Diwali of CAIT.

“Both further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious campaigns for Vocal on local, and Atmanirbhar Bharat is going to be a huge success in each corner of the country and in pursuance of the same, the CAIT has contacted artisans, craftsman and other workers of various states and has arranged big local markets for them through various local traders association where they can sell their products directly to the public. The varieties and variant is way far better than the Chinese products which are liked by people.”
