WEEKLY REVIEW BY PHASES OF THE MOON
10 January: Full Moon in Cancer
“The year starts with a reality check. You realize that your plate is filled with activities and that you are in for a hard slog. You are also ambitious and money is honey. While you are not the flamboyant type and don’t necessarily believe in ostentation, you know very well that money sponsors your dreams. So you work hard from the word go and grab every opportunity that comes your way. There is also love and bonding in the family. They understand that work is important to you and they see the tangibles that money can buy. You like a happy home and want to get them whatever they desire. This goads you to work harder. On the flip side, there are also memorable moments with the family.”
17 January: Moon’s Last Quarter in Libra
“The hard work continues. There is travel and collaborations and spectacular gains. Not for nothing are Pisceans called the escape artists of the zodiac. They are smart, polite, diplomatic, shrewd and tactful, and their lives are normally packed with secret meetings, rendezvous, clandestine love affairs, journeys and experiences of all kinds which may startle the average person. They may seem shy and introverted but their lives are generally full of the most interesting experiences and incidents. They know how to get their work done without ruffling feathers and are the masters of patience and shrewd, tactical moves. The intensity depends of course on the individual horoscopes. With all these inherent guerrilla skills you make rapid progress in the first quarter. You simply manage to outsmart the opposition and you do it so deftly that they may not even be aware of it.”
24 January: New Moon in Capricorn
“The twin themes of progress and expansion continue. There will also be many distractions of the domestic kind; there may be health and money issues to straighten out in the family and, possibly, some altercations which need your sober and mature erudition to defuse. You continue with the momentum of the past few weeks and make good progress too. You take pride in your assets and achievements and even develop an unhealthy ego. This can also be an emotionally explosive period when you fly off the handle for no apparent reason but then, luckily, you manage to return quickly to a placidity normally associated with you. There is no harm in apologizing if you have to; in fact it makes you an even bigger person!”
