Bhushan Produces Basu’s Multi-starrer Action Comedy

Bhushan Kumar will produce Anurag Basu’s next film cementing their relationship limited till now to the music domain. After their last effort for Basu’s film as a music label, Bhushan Kumar has now joined hands with the director for a yet to be titled film, that will be an Action -Comedy.
The multi-starrer action comedy picturises unavoidable jeopardies of life. The movie has four different story lines interweaving across life in an Indian Metro with emphasized drama and emotion. The film is set for a September 6, 2019 release.
The producer – director duo has signed up Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi already.
Basu has already shot major sequences for the film with Abhishek in Mumbai and Kolkata last year. The director was busy shooting with Rajkummar and Fatima in Bhopal till recently.
The other signed actors will commence their respective shooting schedules soon even as Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu indicated that more actors are set to join the cast ensemble for the film. The characters and roles of the actors are still under wraps, but grapevine has it that each actor gets a chance to explore roles they haven not enacted before.
Says Basu, “it’s my pleasure to work with Bhushan Kumar for my next film that is a dark comic anthology. It’s our first (complete film) collaboration but doesn’t feel like that at all. I am extremely happy to have found a very talented new generation cast, though I will trust my old friend Pritam for music as always!”
Producer Kumar in turn adds, “Anurag is a master storyteller and brings pure magic to celluloid through his films. I am happy we are working together. The characters and the story is very compelling and yet, the treatment is so amusing. We have tried to bring on board a terrific cast to perfectly fit the roles that were written. The progress of the script and shooting process is ongoing, even as Anurag and I are already planning on doing another project. I am keen to do more films with Anurag and his team.””
