“The Goa Government which was supposed to take up their matter with the Central Government was acting as deaf and dumb. They were only goaded into a symbolic action to rescue a few of the seafarers (not even 1 per cent ) stuck off the coast on board M S Marella Discovery, of Mumbai coast. Even after the rescue, it took nearly a week to get them settled in the quarantine facility in Goa facing many problems like protocol, payment etc.”
