Makar Sankranti of this year marks the 43rd anniversary of International Society for Krishna Consciousness, ISKCON Juhu (Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple), which is not only one of the most notable landmark in Juhu but also a spiritual oasis for hundreds of visitors every day. Special events have been organized to mark the anniversary celebrations of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple today.
On occasion of Makar Sankranti, devotees at ISKCON Juhu shall distribute 1,11,000 plates of hot meals throughout the city of Mumbai during the morning and evening of 14 & 15 January 2021.
Devotees shall also hoist a sacred flag (Dhwaja arohan) on the three temple domes to mark the temple opening anniversary on the evening of 14 January 2021 followed by a Special Maha-Abhishek of all the three Deities in the temple namely Sri Sri Radha Rasabihariji, Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman and Sri Govardhan.
