The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has called for celebrating the festival of Rakhi across the country as “”Hindustani Rakhi”” and in this national campaign, CAIT has created a new and innovative “”Modi Rakhi”” to give China a fitting and patriotic reply. There is a huge demand among the traders of India for Modi Rakhi.
Along with Modi Rakhi, CAIT has also made Rakhis of seeds, grains, wheat, rice, wool, clothes, silk, Madhubani paintings, tribal items, leaves, basil, bead, pearls, drops, etc. by the working women, women working in homes and Anganwadi, Women & men who have lost their jobs due to Corona. These Rakhis are being made in various states of the country. Such Rakhis are being distributed through trade organizations spread all over the country. Women entrepreneurs in CAIT have taken on this onerous task of getting Rakhis made particularly from the down trodden section of the Society.
CAIT National President B. C. Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that Modi Rakhis have been made by the women symbolising Prime Minister Modi as a leader propagating vocal on local and self-reliant Bharat promoting usage of Indian goods more and more. Modi Rakhi will inspire people across the country to boycott Chinese goods and use Indian goods only. Modi Rakhis have been made on aluminum, copper and silver sheets having pictures of PM Modi embossed. Making of such Rakhis began at New Delhi followed the fabrication of Modi Rakhis in different States, whose popularity is increasing day by day. There is a huge demand for Modi Rakhi from every part of the Country.
Bhartia and Khandelwal said that by making Hindustani Rakhis, the CAIT is taking forward the call of self-reliant Bharat in real sense by providing employment to a large number of women and other people. While using Indian goods only, the call for vocal on local is converting into reality. They said that traders from all over the country are engaged in this campaign with great enthusiasm and have resolved to fulfill the call of the Prime Minister and have taken a pledge to teach China a great lesson.
India Post, Mumbai launches distinctive waterproof Rakhee envelopes
With the Raksha Bandhan festival round the corner, India Post, Mumbai has launched a special kind of envelope to carry rakhis to deliver them to their destinations in minimum time period. The envelope is a non-tear, water-resistant self-adhesive envelope with interplay of vivid colors throughout. Reasonably priced at Rs 10, these special envelopes will be available in all the post offices from Saturday, July 25th.
“These envelopes bearing distinctive characteristics are an innovative attempt of India Post, Mumbai, to keep the spirit of love and festivity unabated, even at times of crisis and to strengthen the emotions of love and brotherhood amongst people” said Swati Pandey, Postmaster General, India Post, Mumbai. She further said that all mails of Raksha Bandhan will be treated as first class mail, helping them reach their destination before/on the day of the occasion, by latest, at the cost of an ordinary mail. The colourful design of the envelopes will facilitate its easy identification and aid quicker transmission. “Even during this critical period of partial lockdowns and challenges, India Post will ensure that all mails related to Raksha Bandhan reach their destinations”, the Post Master General added.
Similar special envelopes have been introduced in other postal circles as well.
