Symbol: The Scorpion
Ruling Planet: Pluto
Water-Fixed-Negative
The sign of the Mystic, the Investigator
In the beginning, we have said that yours is the sign of the mystic. We Indians can talk about void or shoonya. This is how I explain void/shoonya.
You Scorpios have the range and the power to understand what shoonya is in this one line: ‘Void/shoonya is an immense unimaginable space of nothingness.’ This is perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay to you.
JUPITER
Ganesha says that from 2 December 2019 to 18 December 2020, Jupiter – the planet of great good fortune and mighty achievements — will be moving in your third angle. It promises tremendous potential, which can and must, be converted into actual performance. You Scorpios have a chance to show the world just how good and great you are. It is time to come into your own. Connectivity, collectivity, consciousness make the three Cs. The fourth C will be contracts. If you learn to be good at it, the years ahead will hum and glow with promise and achievement. Ganesha says, you Scorpios are achievers and love perfection; therefore, it should serve as a great motivating factor for you.
How come I have singled out communication for you? Jupiter, I said, will zoom in your third angle from 2 December 2019 to 18 December 2020. Jupiter stands for good luck, success and expansion. The additional goodies of Jupiter will be courage and valour, physical fitness, hobbies, talent, education, good qualities, siblings, longevity of parents, tolerance, capability, quality and nature of food, selfishness, sports, fights, refuge, trading, dreams, sorrow, stability of mind, neighbourhood, near relations, friends, army, inheritance, ornaments, cleverness and short journeys. Wow! What a list!
The additional highlights are:
• the right time to take a crash course in matters which interest you, develop self-expression, cultivate opinions;
• play chess or bridge, enter quiz shows, Sudoku contests – in short, all mental games;
• learn to get along with relatives and neighbours;
• try not to have mental strain, because this is where you are weak and therefore vulnerable; be ready to listen to others, though I know you are able and discriminating;
• enrich your knowledge.
Let me quote because major changes are happening, with dire consequences, on our planet Earth. Jupiter in the third angle shows research, intelligence and the thrust to help people realize that we are a family of man.
Ganesha says, Jupiter in your third angle could help in shrinking the size of the microelectronics packed into silicon chips. It could help enhance memory and processing talks. More accurate weather, climate and geological predictions could be made. Perhaps even artificial intelligence could be the final gift of Jupiter in the third angle. All this could be the brainchild or handiwork of Scorpios.
Let me summarize what the third angle is all about. Mainly, it is about outlets and/or media of expression and ideas. Trips and ties form an integral part of it. News, views, messages through faxes, mobile and the latest technology are the modern ways of achieving this. The writing of books, pamphlets, flyers and mental gymnastics in games such as chess and bridge are good illustrations of it. Every salesman knows that creative listening is a pivotal part of selling and marketing, and advertising. The third angle has much to do with all of it. Improving the vistas of your knowledge and information through books, trade, travel and interaction with people also comes under the sway and domain of Jupiter in your third angle. Jupiter also has reference, very specially, to brothers and sisters, relatives and neighbours.
As a former professor of English, I have a theory about how the word ‘neighbour’ came about. It came from the neigh or cry of a horse. The cry or neigh of a horse can be heard from a distance. Therefore, the cry or neigh could be heard in the neighbourhood. This explains how the word ‘neighbour’ came about. I wonder how far I’m right! A neighbour is the person living next door or near us. I could be wrong about my interpretation of the world ‘neighbour’, or I could be right. It is up to you to take it or leave it.
