Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his actor son Abhishek, who have been hospitalised since 11 July 2020, due to coronavirus, are recovering from the infection and are likely to be discharged soon.
While Amitabh(77) and Abhishek(44), were admitted ti Nanavati Hospital, Vile Parle West, on 11 July, Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya (46) and daughter Aaradhya(8), who were earlier home quarantined were also admitted to the hospital on 17 July. All are clinically stable and gradually recovering, sources said.
Most of the staff members working at Bachchan’s bungalows have tested negative and remaining staffers are from low risk group. In the meanwhile the four bungalows of the the Bachchan family..”Jalsa”, “Janak”, “Pratiksha” and “Vatsa”, located at Juhu in North West Mumbai, have been sealed, sanitized and declared as a containment zone by the BMC. As of now the bungalows wear a deserted look and only the guards are seen on duty. The BMC has displayed notices declaring the area as containment zone.
Soon after he was admitted to the hospital, Amitabh thanked his admirers for their prayers and concern for him and his family members. “”My dearest extended family, your concern, your prayers and your wishes for Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya and me for a speedy recovery has filled me with unending gratitude. I thank you all,”” the screen icon wrote on his blog and tweet. Abhishek too appealed people to stay calm.
