London Expats Rally for Modi on Bikes!

A motorbike rally was organised held in London in appreciation of the recent development milestones achieved by India. Organised by Overseas Friends of India (OFI), the rally witnessed participation of professional bikers from Ace Café London, a popular British motorcycling organisation.
The rally was flagged off at the Ace Café that is located near the North Circular (road) and concluded at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden.
It was attended by scores of children who braved strong winds when the rally was flagged off in the morning. Traditional dances on the theme of the Ganesha Shloka and a floral send off was accorded to the bikers.
Over four hours of rallying across the breadth of London witnessed the bikers registering pit stops at iconic places that included – Marble Arch, Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, London Bridge and other prominent spots.
International visitors to London were also enthused by the bike rally with many coming out at different spots at various stages of the route taken by the motorcyclists who expressed their support for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his helsmanship of India.
The Non-Resident Indian community in UK used the occasion of the bike rally to applaud Modi’s initiatives like the Gram Sadak Yojana, Improved digital connectivity in rural hinterlands of India and acknowledged how India boasts of world class roads today.
Taking the momentum generated at the rally further, a pan United Kingdom car rally will be similarly organised across on March 16 across various cities including Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Manchester, Leeds, London and Scotland.
A released issued here by OFI and former President of the Maharashtra Mandal in London, Sushil Rapatwar who coordinated the event added that the growing popularity of PM Modi, even among the non-Indian population in UK, is on account of the tremendous progress in improving Human Development Index that was achieved by India that offers a broad indicator about India’s exceptional achievement of lifting people out of poverty.”
