The Friday release of Aanand L Rai’s directorial offering ‘Zero’ is a film that portrays the friendship between two characters ‘Bauua’ and ‘Guddu’, the roles essayed by superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Zeeshan Ayyub respectively. What is a little known fact is that that Shah Rukh Khan and Zeeshan Ayyub share a warm bond even in real life.
The onscreen chemistry between the two actors, who earlier had a similar disposition with each other in the film ‘Raees” as well, continues in this latest offering for audiences. The teaser and songs of the film ‘Zero’ that have been released have been well received by audiences already.
Zeeshan Ayyub who hails from Meerut helped Shah Rukh Khan to imbibe and adapt to the mannerisms and accent of his character ‘Bauua’ who hails from Meerut. Ayyub interacted with Khan to help the latter acclimatize with the particular accent spoken in the region and the superstar was able to quickly grasp the subtler nuances, as a result.
Shah Rukh Khan and Zeeshan Ayyub’s earlier film ‘Raees’ won them a lot of hearts for the heartening bond of friendship they had portrayed in the film.
The trailer has piqued an interest among audiences and offers glimpses into the two strong characters enacted by the duo through what is being described as interesting performances.
‘Zero’ exhibits Shah Rukh Khan as a differently able (DA) ‘Bauua’ who is afflicted with dwarfism (stunted growth) while Anushka Sharma plays ‘Aafia’, a woman scientist who lives with cerebral palsy. Katrina Kaif plays the role of a Bollywood superstar named ‘Babita Kumari’ in the film ‘Zero’ that is set for a Christmas release, while being one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions have combined forces for the film ‘ZERO’ that is produced by Gauri Khan and stars Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan and Zeeshan Ayyub. Aanand L. Rai directorial venture will release on 21st December 2018.”
