Benegal Just Fine with Das’ SmitaTalk at YIFF

Doyen of film direction and Padma Bhushan, Shyam Benegal will be feted at the five-day Yashwantrao International Film Festival (YIFF) that begins on Sunday.
In honour of late actor Smita Patil, a lecture on her stage acting and film career will be delivered on 24th January 2019 at YB Chavan Centre by acclaimed actor-director, Nandita Das. The YIFF is organized by the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan, Mumbai and Pune Film Foundation.
The YIFF inauguration will see Shyam Benegal felicitated for his distinguished contribution to the Indian Cinema.
Das is also admired for numerous performances, including in Fire, Earth, Bawandar, Kannathil Muthamittal, Azhagi, Kamli and Before The Rain. Renowned filmmaker Dr. Jabbar Patel is the Director of the festival.”
